Art as Commitment - video recordings of the conference available online

05.01.2014

In December 2013 our association co-organized a conference Art as Commitment with the intention to reflect on the relation between so-called committed and autonomous art, to discuss what committed art should be today and what the difference is when we talk about art as commitment.

Invited guests were: Keti Chukhrov (an art theorist and philosopher, Moscow), Miklavž Komelj (an art historian, poet and translator, Ljubljana), Hito Steyerl (an artist, Berlin), Ravi Sundaram (a Senior Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), New Delhi), Raluca Voinea (an art critic and curator, Bucharest).

We've made available already some of the lectures and conversations. Unfortunately not all recordings are technically optimal.
