Forest Encounters: Workshop in Topolò / Topolove

Workshop about the expansion of the forest onto the formerly agricultural terraces in Topolò / Topolove village (IT).

Within the context of this three-day workshop (18.- 20. 4. 2024), landscape architecture students from the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana developed several possible scenarios for arranging and maintaining the landscape around the Topolò / Topolove village (IT).

The goal of the workshop was to generate plans for the village to manage the expansion of the surrounding forest onto the formerly agricultural terraces. At the end of the workshop, proposals were presented to local residents and a lively discussion about possible futures of co-existing with the landscape that surrounds the village took place.
